Lake Como is a deep, Y-shaped lake ringed by mountains, with pastel villages, grand villas and gardens. Take ferries between Bellagio, Varenna and Tremezzo, climb to a viewpoint and linger over lakeside lunches.
The lake is long and ferries are the best way to travel between villages. Allow extra time and check the timetable.
Approximate per person per day, including a share of a twin room, and excluding flights. Not live prices.
